Who we are
Clean-Fi is made by Cody Meras, doing business as PokeDad, in Menifee, California. Contact: support@getcleanfi.com.
What stays on your PC
Your test results, settings, saved original settings, connection-monitor history, and error log are stored only on your PC, in your Windows user folder. Router passwords and router-account sign-ins are encrypted with Windows' built-in protection, so only your Windows account on that PC can read them. Uninstalling Clean-Fi deletes all of it.
What Clean-Fi sends, and to whom
Like any website you visit, these services can see your public IP address when Clean-Fi contacts them.
| When | Sent to | What and why |
|---|---|---|
| Speed test | Cloudflare | Test data downloaded and uploaded to measure your speed and lag. |
| Checkup | Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and your router | Small “ping” checks to measure delay and packet loss. |
| Checkup | Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, OpenDNS | Lookups of common website names to compare DNS speed. |
| Router check | Cloudflare and Team Cymru (backup: ipinfo.io) | Your public IP address, to identify your internet provider and show tips for it. |
| Router control (only if you connect it) | Your router, or the router maker's service (e.g. eero) | Your router login or a sign-in code, used only to read and change the settings you choose. |
| Activating Pro | Lemon Squeezy | Your license key and an anonymous PC label (not your PC's name), to check the key and its activation limit. Re-checked about once a week. |
Clean-Fi contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking. It sends nothing else unless you choose to.
Purchases
Clean-Fi Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing details, and payment information to process the order, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, country, and order details so we can provide support and refunds. We never see your full card number.
If you contact us or send a report
If you email us or send a Clean-Fi test report, we receive what you send. Test reports are plain text you can read first; they don't include Wi-Fi names, MAC or IP addresses, or passwords. We use them only to help you and improve Clean-Fi, and delete them when they're no longer needed.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.
We don't sell or share your data
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, and never have. We share it only with the service providers above to make Clean-Fi work, or when required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California under the CCPA, you can ask to know what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you won't be treated differently for asking. Email support@getcleanfi.com. For purchase records held by Lemon Squeezy, you can also contact them directly.
Children
Clean-Fi isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If Clean-Fi starts sending anything new, we'll update this page before that version ships. The date at the top shows the latest version.
